RICHMOND HILL, ON, Oct. 27, 2026 /CNW/ -- Mazda Canada Inc. today announced pricing and packaging for the 2027 Mazda CX-70, the brand's midsize two-row crossover that combines sophisticated design, premium craftsmanship, engaging driving dynamics, and everyday versatility, while offering generous cargo capacity and utility without the need for a third row. Built on Mazda's rear-wheel-drive-based Large Platform and available with Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains, the CX-70 continues to offer customers a premium ownership experience tailored to active lifestyles.
For 2027, all CX-70 models receive updates focused on comfort and refinement. A revised rear suspension crossmember is designed to further improve passenger comfort and ride composure over rough pavement. These changes are designed to deliver an even more refined experience for both drivers and passengers. Additionally, CX-70 PHEV models receive updates to the electric drive motor, including additional insulation material that contributes to quieter low-speed operation. Rear Seat Alert is now standard across the lineup, while Alexa Built-in availability has been expanded to additional trims. Two new exterior colours, Navy Blue Mica and Aero Grey Metallic, also join the palette for 2027.
The 2027 Mazda CX-70 arrives in dealerships this winter with a starting MSRP of $48,999 for the CX-70 PHEV GS-SC and $50,250 for the CX-70 MHEV GS-L. Like every new Mazda sold in Canada, the CX-70 is backed by Mazda Canada's Unlimited Mileage Warranty program, helping provide long-term ownership confidence and value.

The CX-70 MHEV is offered in GS-L, GT, GT-P, and Signature trims. Every model features Mazda's e-Skyactiv-G 3.3-litre turbocharged inline-six engine paired with M Hybrid Boost 48-volt mild hybrid technology, i-Activ AWD, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, CX-70 MHEV models offer up to 5,000 lbs. of towing capacity.
CX-70 MHEV GS-L
The CX-70 GS-L, starting at $50,250, is equipped with the standard-output e-Skyactiv-G 3.3 turbocharged inline-six engine producing 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque when using regular fuel. Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch centre display, wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, wireless charging, Alexa Built-in, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a power liftgate with hands-free access, and leatherette-trimmed seating surfaces. Standard i-Activsense safety technologies include Smart Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane-keep Assist, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Head-on Traffic Avoidance Assist, Cruise & Traffic Support, Rear Seat Alert, Private eCall, and Stolen Vehicle Assistance.
CX-70 MHEV GT
The CX-70 GT, starting at $54,850, builds on the GS-L package with 21-inch black metallic alloy wheels, black leather-trimmed seating surfaces, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a power-sliding panoramic moonroof, Bose® premium audio with 12 speakers, Mazda Online Navigation, SiriusXM®, a windshield-projected Active Driving Display, front and rear parking sensors, a 360° View Monitor, Traffic Sign Recognition, Driver Monitoring, and Front Cross Traffic Alert. These additions enhance both everyday comfort and driver awareness.
CX-70 MHEV GT-P
The CX-70 GT-P, available from $58,800, receives the high-output version of Mazda's turbocharged inline-six engine, producing up to 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque with premium fuel. Building on the GT, the GT-P adds black Nappa leather seating surfaces, a black interior roof liner, premium interior detailing, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, and Emergency Lane Keeping with Blind Spot Assist, further expanding the vehicle's active safety capabilities.
CX-70 MHEV Signature
At the top of the lineup, the CX-70 Signature, starting at $62,800, delivers Mazda's most premium CX-70 experience. Signature models feature Windsor Tan Premium Nappa leather upholstery, Grand Luxe Suede® interior trim, a Driver Personalization System with facial recognition, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and distinctive 21-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. Signature models further elevate driver confidence with advanced safety and driver assistance technologies, including 360° View Monitor with See-Through View, Smart Brake Support Front Crossing, Rear Pedestrian Detection, Turning Across Path, and Emergency Lane Keeping with Head-on Traffic Avoidance Assist.
CX-70 PHEV
The CX-70 PHEV combines a 2.5-litre e-Skyactiv Plug-In Hybrid powertrain with a high-capacity battery and standard i-Activ AWD. Delivering up to 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, the powertrain provides responsive acceleration and the ability to complete many daily trips using electric power alone. For 2027, CX-70 PHEV models benefit from improved low-speed quietness in addition to the ride-comfort enhancements applied across the lineup.
CX-70 PHEV GS-SC
The CX-70 PHEV GS-SC, starting at $48,999, includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch centre display, Alexa Built-in, wired Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power driver's seat, power liftgate, Rear Seat Alert, Private eCall, and Stolen Vehicle Assistance. The CX-70 PHEV GS-L SC, available from $56,750, adds leather-trimmed seating surfaces, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, an Active Driving Display, driver's seat memory, illuminated glove box, front and rear parking sensors, retractable rear door sunshades, and additional premium comfort features. Traffic Sign Recognition and enhanced parking assistance technologies further expand the suite of driver support systems.
