TD gets personal with TD for Me: a financial services digital concierge for your phone

Innovative new feature uses real-time content to deliver contextualized mobile experiences via the TD app

TORONTO, Sept. 12, 2016 /CNW/ - TD Bank Group (TD) today announced it has begun rolling out its TD for Me mobile service, designed to keep customers in-the-know with real-time offers, tips and information from TD.

A first in Canadian banking, TD for Me enhances the popular TD app to include a "digital concierge" feature that curates content and services to create personalized, contextual experiences for customers based on their location and interests. Powered by Canadian start-up Flybits' secure cloud-based mobile intelligence product, TD for Me provides customers with useful TD-related content, like special nearby offers, helpful tips and details on local events, with more content and capabilities to be added in future updates.

"TD for Me expands on our ability to be there for customers by creating more intuitive, personalized and relevant experiences that go beyond traditional banking," said Rizwan Khalfan, Chief Digital and Payments Officer, TD. "By delivering in-the-moment experiences we're able to humanize the digital interactions and cater more to how customers live their lives through their mobile devices."

TD app customers are able to opt-in to TD for Me, providing them with instant notifications on TD-related tips and information when a customer enters or favourites a TD for Me zone. They also have the ability to browse within the app for items of interest and can turn notifications on and off whenever needed. Information available in TD for Me zones will include details on local branches and TD-related community events; helpful tips so customers can get more value from their everyday experiences with TD; special offers and discounts from TD; and suggestions when travelling abroad.

Starting today, customers with Android devices can experience TD for Me by updating their TD app, and an iOS version will be available in the coming days.
