TORONTO, April 21, 2016 /CNW/ - Starting Wednesday, April 27, 2016, Tangerine Clients can use their existing Tangerine Chequing Account to make an online donation to the Canadian Red Cross in support of their response to the recent earthquake in Ecuador. Tangerine will match every dollar donated up to $25,000 with all funds going directly to the Canadian Red Cross Ecuador Earthquake Appeal.
The Red Cross has intervened in Ecuador and is on the ground providing life-saving assistance. All donations will go directly to the people of Ecuador, to help them recover and rebuild their lives.
To donate, Clients can simply log in at Tangerine.ca and click "I want to help." Tangerine will be matching donations starting Wednesday, April 27, 2016 until Friday, May 27, 2016, up to $25,000.
A tax receipt will be provided by the Canadian Red Cross for donations of $20 or more. Tangerine will provide your name and mailing address to the Canadian Red Cross if you donate.
