MONSIEUR BORIS ET LE CANNABIS, Le long road-trip vers la légalisation

MONTREAL, Jan. 18, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Just as new marijuana legislation is about to be introduced this spring, les Editions Quebec Amérique are publishing the official biography of Marc-Boris St-Maurice, founder of the Marijuana Party of Canada, the Bloc Pot, and the Montreal Compassion Center. Author Jean Marc Beausoleil paints a candid, uncensored portrait of the Quebec activist's twenty year journey towards marijuana legalization.

Starting out as a small time dealer he went on to play bass for Quebec's legendary alternative band "Grimskunk". Now a member of the Liberal Party of Canada and registered lobbyist, Boris has constantly adapted to the ever changing landscape on the road to his singular objective: legalizing marijuana.

Afterword Includes a series of interviews with influential figures from the marijuana movement;

  • Alan Young, associate professor of law at Osgoode Hall Law School
  • Julius Grey, constitutional lawyer
  • Dom Cramer, activist and founder of the Toronto Hemp Company and Toronto Compassion Center
  • Jean-Sébastien Fallu, social worker and teacher
