AMOS/KUUJJUAQ, QC, Oct. 29, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ -In order to pursue their respective development goals, Forages Rouillier Drilling and Avataa Explorations and Logistics agreed to a joint venture. Through this strategic partnership, both companies will work together to develop and fortify their presence in the Nunavik territory.
The joint venture provides a unique opportunity for Rouillier Drilling (a division of Groupe Rouillier) and Avataa to combine their expertise. "Choosing Avataa as a partner was such an easy decision", says Mario Rouillier, president of Rouillier Drilling. "They have the expansive knowledge and experience on the land. Furthermore, they understand the requirements of our industry and strive to provide quality service. It is a match made in heaven", adds Mr Rouillier. As for Charlie Watt, president of Avataa, he says "it was easy and felt natural to associate with a company that shares values similar to ours. Rouillier Drilling and Avataa are both family companies for whom the economic development of their regions really matters."
The affairs of the joint venture will be under the control of a management committee composed of Vincent Boileau and Mario Rouillier, for Rouillier Drilling, and Charlie Watt and Christine Nakoolak, for Avataa.
