Media Advisory - Hydro Ottawa and United Way Ottawa celebrate Brighter Tomorrows Fund recipients

OTTAWA, Sept. 5, 2012 /CNW/ - Join Bryce Conrad, President and Chief Executive Officer at Hydro Ottawa, and United Way Ottawa campaign co-chairs Councillor Mathieu Fleury and Angie Poirier as they showcase how the Brighter Tomorrows Fund is helping local agencies improve their energy efficiency.

Seven local agencies who serve people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness have completed projects such as replacing drafty windows, installing a high-efficiency heating system and purchasing energy-efficient appliances.

Each year Hydro Ottawa and its employees generously support United Way Ottawa, donating more than $1 million to this important community initiative over the past 11 years. The corporate matching dollars from Hydro Ottawa's campaign are directed to its Brighter Tomorrows Fund.
