homelessness have completed projects such as replacing drafty windows,
installing a high-efficiency heating system and purchasing
Each year Hydro Ottawa and its employees generously support United Way
Ottawa, donating more than $1 million to this important community
initiative over the past 11 years. The corporate matching dollars from
Hydro Ottawa's campaign are directed to its Brighter Tomorrows Fund.

Operation Come Home

Media can see firsthand how Operation Come Home has improved the
efficiency of its building thanks to a 2012 Brighter Tomorrows Fund
grant. The non-profit organization's improvements include improving the
building's insulation and weather stripping and installing programmable
In 2012, a total of $85,696 was awarded through the Brighter Tomorrows
Fund to Daybreak Housing, Multifaith Housing, National Capital Region
YMCA-YWCA, Operation Come Home, Options Bytown, Ottawa Salus, and
Shepherds of Good Hope.
