World's Best Coming To Toronto to Compete in 10th Wushu World Championships

TORONTO, Oct. 20 /CNW/ - Wushu Canada announced today that Toronto will be the site of the 10th Wushu World Championships October 24-29 at Ricoh Coliseum and the Direct Energy Centre. More than 80 countries with over 1,500 athletes will compete in the six-day event featuring action packed, world title bouts and high-flying choreographed routines.

Wushu - meaning martial arts - is divided into two groups. The combative elements of wushu are known as Sanshou featuring spectacular full contact fighting, and the non-combative, ritualistic elements are known as Taolu, consisting of highly artistic and precise routines.
