World Vision Canada Honoured for Employee Excellence

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 7, 2016 /CNW/ - For the 7th consecutive year in a row, World Vision Canada is being recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers! World Vision, Canada's largest child-focused international development agency, is proud and humbled to once again be named a top employer. This competition is the largest editorial project of its kind in Canada.

Employers are evaluated using eight criteria, including physical workplace, work atmosphere, employee communications and community involvement.

This year's award recognizes World Vision Canada for its efforts to help employees maintain a healthy lifestyle while at work, which includes having employee-led fitness classes, an outdoor basketball hoop and an outdoor community garden. The judges also noted World Vision's support services for maternal and parental leave, which includes top-up payments to employees who are new parents. Our organization is also being recognized for its commitment to ongoing employee education, and for offering opportunities for staff to travel and work in the field, giving them a first-hand look at how our work is changing lives around the world.
