'The Cluckaneers' set sail on the W.S. Legendary Pirate Pak February 13
VANCOUVER, Feb. 10, 2017 /CNW/ - On Monday, February 13, White Spot will officially launch the first 3D augmented reality kids program by a Canadian restaurant chain. The interactive Pirate Pak features a fresh cast of animated characters and revamped treasure map, plus the new W.S. Legendary pirate ship that allows kids of all ages to join the crew on their legendary (mis)adventures!
Bravely captained by the outlaw Beak Rogers, the Pirate Pak will provide entertainment for lads and lasses in restaurants, at home or on the go, and will be automatically updated with the latest seaworthy adventures and activities. By downloading the free W.S. Kids app on IOS or Android devices at whitespot.com/kids or the app store, kids can play games, make music, read stories, watch videos and interact with the characters.
Wanted for masterminding tasty heists, our dashing, daring and dauntless captain has assembled a rag-tag crew of birdy buccaneers aboard his ship that features the quick-witted Penny Poulet (who is even quicker with her flipper) and messy first mate Drumstick Nick – a no-napkin, never-ceasing nibbler. Join them in action-packed games like Doubloon Debacle, Bookadoodle Boom, Pirate Ship Battle and Cannon Bowling.
The treasure map and Pirate Pak come to life with 3D digital markers, and the games don't require internet access once the app has been downloaded. A printable version of the interactive map can also be downloaded from the White Spot website.
"Since 1928, we have been committed to providing a family-friendly dining experience that's unmatched by any other restaurant," said White Spot President Warren Erhart. "The Pirate Pak is a central part of that dining experience for kids, so we're excited to sail our iconic ship into the digital age."
The new W.S. Legendary has a legendary history indeed. More than 25 million Pirate Paks have been sold since 1968, when White Spot founder Nat Bailey wanted to provide a unique dining experience for kids.
"Our guests have always had a special place in their hearts for Pirate Paks," said Cathy Tostenson, White Spot's Vice President of Marketing and Menu Development. "In creating this program, we wanted to stay true to our brand while providing kids with new entertainment that's both fun and engaging for the whole family, just like our founder Nat Bailey would have wanted. The Cluckaneers represents the harmonization of food and technology, and showcases our ability to stay current."
On February 13, White Spot invites hearties young, and young-at-heart, to join this new cast of feathered friends on the high seas!
