Visit Anaheim Brings the Beach to Vancouverites with Unique Consumer Event

Over 500 Vancouverites enjoy a day in the sun, Anaheim style

VANCOUVER, Dec. 6, 2016 /CNW/ - Today, Visit Anaheim released their A Day in Anaheim video capturing the delight and joy that the team brought over 500 Vancouverites. Following months of dreary wet weather in Vancouver, Visit Anaheim treated Vancouverites to a Southern California themed beach day.

On Saturday, November 19th, the destination marketing organization took over Richmond's 6Pack Indoor Beach transforming a pocket of Canada into a Southern Californian oasis where Vancouverites could warm up watching movies on the beach, building sandcastles, or eating at top-notch food trucks.  

"We wanted to introduce and inspire Vancouverites to travel to Southern California," says Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing at Visit Anaheim, Charles Harris. "We didn't just want to tell Vancouverites what Anaheim has to offer, we wanted to find a way to show them."

Visit Anaheim, showcased a taste of what Anaheim California has to offer, going all out to create the feeling of Southern California, transporting Vancouverites to a 'SoCal' state of mind. Palm trees, blue skies and cloud balloons transformed the facility into a balmy beach day. The facility buzzed with excitement, as children played in the sand with newfound friends, and grateful parents found some time to rest easy on beach lounge chairs. Guests enjoyed hours of entertainment as they took part in the various activity stations at their leisure; building sand castles, getting faces painted, playing beach volleyball, and watching movies in a sandy lounge area. 

"This is a great way for us to reach consumers directly, and we hope that we've now convinced them to consider Anaheim for their next trip and experience everything our destination has to offer," says SVP of Marketing, Charles Harris.
