TORONTO, Oct. 5 /CNW/ - VC Panwest, a joint initiative of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba has signed a five year term agreement with Telemerge to deliver Videoconferencing Help Desk Support, end-point videoconferencing equipment and videoconferencing room rental management.
VC Panwest consists of Community Futures, Women Entrepreneurs, Canada Business Service Centres in the four western provinces and B.C. The shared vision is to help create diverse, sustainable communities by supporting local, community-based economic development.
Paul Doo, CEO of Telemerge explains "Panwest's adoption of videoconferencing as a collaborative productivity tool, and their commitment to environmental issues, has created the need to engage high-level expertise to manage their current 130 video end-points. Panwest anticipates significant growth in the number of videoconferencing end-points, which requires Telemerge to provide 7x24x365 Bilingual end user Help Desk Support and management for their video end-points, IP Network, and core videoconferencing infrastructure (MCU's/Gateways/TMS/Warranties). Included in this agreement is standardization on the TANDBERG platform for all video endpoint and infrastructure requirements. Telemerge is also tasked with providing ongoing training, future video network design, professional engineering services and consultation on videoconferencing content delivery."
