Kia Canada is a proud founding partner of Vancouver Whitecaps FC and has worked with the team to grow the game of soccer in British Columbia. This summer, Kia worked with the club and the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) to host a four day, no-charge youth soccer camp. The camp was directed towards inner city youth and featured dozens of games and drills to teach kids the basics of shooting, passing, and dribbling.
"As a proud founding partner of Whitecaps FC, we're excited to award Mr. Gaba with the brand new, award-winning Kia Sportage," said Ted Lancaster, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), KIA Canada Inc. "As a company, Kia understands the value that sports can deliver to communities and we are proud to work with Whitecaps FC and the Vancouver Police Department to give more Canadians a chance to play."
