"Aside from getting a chance to learn some of the tricks of the trade, more importantly, children will come away accepting the importance of hard work, healthy living, team concepts and will understand the importance of having fun every time they step on the field," says Dichio, who retired last month as the club's all-time leading scorer.
Beginning on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, Dichio's eight-week sessions are open to boys and girls of all abilities, aged between seven and 13.
Sutton says, "Regardless of the sport, goalies, goaltenders and goalkeepers are a breed apart."
Playing the actual position requires much more than simply catching a ball. It takes agility, awareness, focus and confidence so that your teammates will trust you.
"They must be taught at a young age," says Sutton, who plays for the Canadian National team and has been capped by the National team 16 times.
Also beginning in November 2009, Sutton's goaltender sessions are open to boys and girls aged 8 to 15.
