TSB Deploys team to investigate rail accident in British Columbia

GATINEAU, QC, Feb. 21, 2012 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has deployed a team to today's rail accident near Barrett, B.C. TSB senior Rail Investigator Peter Hickli is the Investigator-in-Charge. He is accompanied by another TSB investigator.

On 21 February 2012 at approximately 13:50 local time, a train was involved in an accident.

The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
