Travel Advisory - VIA's Services Between Toronto and Ottawa Set to Resume
Tomorrow Morning

MONTREAL, May 13 /CNW Telbec/ - VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that regular service between Ottawa and Toronto will resume tomorrow morning, Friday, May 14, 2010. VIA's regular train service was disrupted yesterday and today due to a Canadian Pacific (CP) rail line closure near Smiths Falls, Ontario.

VIA anticipates that some trains may experience minor delays due to rail congestion.

While the rail line closure is outside VIA's control, VIA nonetheless apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this disruption.

For more information on train schedules, or to book a trip, customers can visit VIA's secure Web site at www.viarail.ca. Passengers also can book their tickets by calling 1 888 VIA-RAIL (1 888 842-7245), or 1 800 268-9503 (TTY for the hearing impaired).
