TORONTO, Aug. 31, 2015 /CNW/ - As hockey fans gear up to celebrate the start of the 2015- 2016 NHL season, the Toronto Maple Leafs have given Leafs Nation's youngest members more reasons to cheer. In association with Carter's | OshKosh, the team unveiled a new kids club during Carlton The Bear's 20th birthday party at Air Canada Centre on Sunday afternoon. With over 400 of Carlton's friends in attendance the celebration included face painting, balloon artists, photo opportunities with Carlton & Duke The Dog, birthday treats and the rare chance to paint birthday wishes addressed to Carlton on Air Canada Centre ice.
Club Maple Leafs is the foundation of the Toronto Maple Leafs' youth engagement aimed to create an early love for the game and foster the next generation of Leafs fans. The new kids' platform will live at mapleleafs.com/clubmapleleafs and include the Club Maple Leafs mobile application (available on iTunes and Google Play), first game programming, enhanced in-game experience, kids' apparel, ticket offers, events, contests and more. The club will come to life in-arena at a number of Toronto Maple Leafs and Marlies games throughout the season.

The centre-piece of the new club is the official Club Maple Leafs mobile application providing exclusive content geared to the youngest members of Leafs Nation. Kids will have the opportunity to build their own avatar, track the Leafs schedule and statistics, test their team knowledge and more.
To further strengthen the team's connection with its youngest fans, a new partnership with Carter's | Osh Kosh was unveiled at Sunday's event including the launch of the Ultimate Toronto Maple Leafs Birthday Party contest. Beginning August 30, Leafs Nation parents can submit a short blurb about why their child deserves to be surprised at their birthday party by Carlton The Bear, complete with Leafs party décor, cake, loot bags and more. The winner and their family will also win a trip to Air Canada Centre where they will be featured on the brand new scoreboard during a Leafs home game this season. Entries will be accepted until October 31, 2015 and all entrants will receive 20% off their next Carter's | Osh Kosh purchase.
