TORONTO, May 4, 2017 /CNW/ - On Saturday, May 13, The Toronto Bicycling Network (TBN) kicks off its 2017 cycling season with a morning of refreshments, company, and bike rides at Etienne Brule Park near Old Mill.
Both non-members and members are welcome at this annual event. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. there will be snacks and information about cycling, as well as bicycle essentials and prizes, followed by a series of group bike rides of various distances. A Velofix mechanic will be on hand to offer additional assistance and ensure your bike is ready to ride.
"We're offering a chance for cyclists to meet other cyclists, and explore some of the wonderful bike routes that this city has to offer," said Ed Weiss, TBN Communications Director. "We really think we have something for every cyclist, whether you want to ride gently along the paved bike trails in the city, or prefer a longer ride out into the country."
A variety of group rides for cyclists of all skill levels will depart between 10 and 11a.m. Volunteers will be on hand to recommend a ride suitable for anyone unfamiliar with the club.
The usual $5 fee for non-members is waived on this day.
