Solutions to Ensure Mobile Backhaul QoS and QoE

Major contract awarded for EXFO's holistic and system-based approach, offering easy integration and allowing this provider to normalize service metrics in a multivendor environment

QUEBEC CITY, March 22 /CNW Telbec/ - EXFO Inc. (NASDAQ: EXFO, TSX: EXF) announced today that its Brix solution was selected by one of the top-tier service providers in the Americas to ensure the quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) of its mobile backhaul services.

As part of its continued commitment to offer the most robust, efficient and cost-effective mobile backhaul services, this network service provider (NSP) relies on EXFO's service assurance solutions: the BrixNGN carrier Ethernet test suite, along with the carrier Ethernet operation report package and numerous Brix 3000 Verifiers. These leading-edge service assurance tools ensure that all service-level agreements (SLAs)/key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and that all potential service degradations are proactively detected and fixed before customer QoS is affected.

The Brix solution offers a system-based approach that allows this NSP to normalize service metrics in a multivendor environment and to have the ability to provide flexible reporting on those metrics, internally and externally. The BrixNGN Next-Generation Service Assurance Software allows for the continuous collection, correlation, analysis and visualization of critical QoS and QoE data; the carrier Ethernet operations report package (part of the BrixView product line) offers customizable reporting and individual content portals, and the Brix 3000 Verifier remotely and automatically measures IP network performance and QoS-enabling this top-tier service provider to sustain network reliability while minimizing truck rolls.
