MONTREAL, July 2, 2015 /CNW/ - ThermoCeramix Corporation ("ThermoCeramix", "TCX" or the "Company") (TSX Venture Exchange: TCX.V), a technology-licensing company engaged in the development of high-performance, energy-efficient electric heating solutions, announced today that it has finalized its co-development agreement with Zephyr Ventilation Inc. ("Zephyr") to jointly develop an electric grill using the TCXTM heating technology. Zephyr is a San Francisco-based market leader in kitchen ventilation hood design, innovation and technology.

The co-developed electric grill is Zephyr's first product offering outside of its extensive line of kitchen ventilation hoods. ThermoCeramix and Zephyr are actively working on finalizing the design and prototype of the co-developed grill. In parallel to these efforts, they have commenced pre-production phases of the project with commercial launch anticipated no later than early 2016.
ThermoCeramix's platform heating technology applies a proprietary thermal coating directly onto the surface requiring heat to create a tight bond and maximize heat-transfer efficiencies. The technology's extraordinary conductivity will allow the co-developed electric grill to reach up to 700°F in less than 10 minutes without a lid, offering superior performance relative to most gas barbecues with their lids open. The co-developed grill will be portable and can be used in condominiums and apartment buildings, with open flame barbecue restrictions, as well as outdoor spaces.
