TORONTO, Feb. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - With momentum from its record-breaking, post-SUPER BOWL premiere, THE VOICE hit all the right notes Monday night on CTV, winning the night with 1.9 million viewers for its second episode of the season. THE VOICE was also the #1 program in all key demos, growing its audience in its second hour and peaking with 2.5 million viewers. After two episodes, THE VOICE is now trending 30% higher than last season's average, with last night's episode ranking as the most-watched, regularly scheduled episode to date for the series.

THE VOICE held a 38% advantage over the next closest program of the night (HOUSE) among younger viewers aged 18-34, and was the #1 (non-sports) program of the night in Toronto and Vancouver in the demo with notable ratings of 7.3 and 6.7 respectively.

Following a mass digital sampling this past weekend of the premiere episode, SMASH opened to 1.4 million viewers in its television debut Monday on CTV. Available in 5.7 million homes via set-top VOD, on the CTV iPad App and on CTV Mobile, the advance screening also registered an incredible 250,000 views online at CTV.ca by late Sunday night. In its television debut, SMASH performed particularily well with younger viewers and females, winning its 10 p.m. timeslot with A18-34 and F18-34. The series premiere is once again available online at SMASH.CTV.ca, and makes its specialty channel debut this Friday, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo!
