From February 18 to 28, Hydro Québec's Fête de la lumière will brighten the site with illuminated animation, stage performances, pyrotechnic presentations and, to be sure, the now famous Sleepless Night (February 27, 2010), one of the most popular events of the Festival. In the very heart of the cold season, the entertainment factor will reach its zenith: revellers beware of heatstroke!

Let the ships sing!
The tradition lives on! Once again, ships moored at the Quays will synchronize their horns and, in unison, play a symphony that will resonate from the Promenade to Place Royale, while the heart of Old Montréal will beat to the sounds of the Port Symphonies' outdoor concert. Trains, tug-boats, and ships moored at the Old Port for the winter and other urban instruments, including the bells of Notre-Dame church, will blend their sounds into an original and unusual composition.
