MONTREAL, Feb. 23, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The Quebec Cancer Foundation is proud to announce that The Co-operators will be serving as official presenter of the 3rd edition of the Grand défoulement contre le cancer. From June 1 to June 30, 2016, a host of activities to "vent against cancer" will be organized across the province to raise funds in behalf of people with cancer and their loved ones.
"Given The Co-operators' reputation as a caring, person-centred insurance company, we are pleased to have their support for the Grand défoulement contre le cancer," explained Ginette Charest, General Director of the Quebec Cancer Foundation. "As an organization, we are dedicated to providing compassionate care by meeting the needs of people with cancer here in Quebec. Every day we strive to help them better cope with their disease. Our values of community involvement and solidarity are a perfect fit with those of The Co-operators."
"The Co-operators was built on principles of cooperation and, as is the case with the Quebec Cancer Foundation, we put people first. We are delighted to support such a wonderful and important cause, especially knowing that every single donation will go directly towards meeting the physical, psychological and material needs of people with cancer and their loved ones," explained Karine Potvin, Director of Marketing at The Co-operators.
Bruno Pelletier, spokesperson for the Quebec Cancer Foundation, invites Quebecers to organize fundraising events in support of people with cancer and their loved ones. "Activities can include everything from a physical challenge to a creative endeavour or an event that simply brings together friends and neighbours – just let your imagination lead the way! I am moved to see so many people rally for a cause that is near and dear to my heart. From June 1 to June 30, 2016, get involved by venting against cancer!"
