'Hugh MacLeod is committed to building a safer healthcare system in Canada'
EDMONTON, March 1 /CNW/ - The Canadian Patient Safety Institute's (CPSI) Board of Directors has successfully recruited Hugh MacLeod to lead the patient safety agenda in Canada. With a strong background in change management and strategic planning, Hugh has over 15 years of senior leadership experience, in government and healthcare.
"Continuity and consistency with high caliber leadership are vital to the next steps in patient safety in Canada," says Dr. Doug Cochrane, Board Chair, Canadian Patient Safety Institute, Board of Directors. "The Board of Directors is very pleased with the appointment of Hugh MacLeod as CEO of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute."
Hugh has accomplished a great deal through his former positions as an Assistant Deputy Minister, Health System Accountability and Performance, and Executive Lead of the Premier's Health Results Team for the Province of Ontario; Interim President & CEO and Senior Vice President of the Vancouver Coastal Health; as well as the Vice President, South Fraser Health Region.
