OWENSBORO, KY, July 7, 2017 /CNW/ - Specialty Foods Group, LLC ("SFG") is pleased to announce today that effective July 6, 2017, Mr. Lorie Waisberg agreed to join the board of managers of SFG.
Mr. Waisberg is a corporate director currently serving as Chairman and a director of Chemtrade Logistics Income Fund and a director of Americas Silver Corporation and Tembec Inc., among other entities. Prior to retirement, Mr. Waisberg served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration of Co-Steel Inc., a steel manufacturer. Prior thereto, Mr. Waisberg practiced law with a major Canadian law firm. Mr. Waisberg is accredited as ICD.D by the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Pursuant to its limited liability company agreement, SFG is governed by a board of managers consisting of five managers. Mr. Waisberg was appointed to fill a vacancy in the board. In addition to Mr. Waisberg, the board consists of Mr. Scott Reid, Mr. Glenn Bowman, Mr. James Boyle, and Mr. Michael Bieger (also President of SFG).
