Sleep Country Canada Opens State of the Art Distribution Facility in Richmond, British Columbia

RICHMOND, BC, June 13, 2017 /CNW/ - Sleep Country's new Distribution Centre in Richmond, BC is now open.  The new facility which is a consolidation of two distribution centres into one centralized location, has an increased square footage from a combined space of 48,000 square feet to 70,000 square feet and a 119% increase in racking storage capacity, totalling 1,227 storage locations.

"The added capacity provides the space required for regional growth and will allow continued focus on growing areas such as lifestyle bases, platform bases, accessories in addition to our mattress business and newly launched eCommerce business," said Sieg Will, Senior Vice President of Operations. Richmond marks the second of three Distribution Centre expansions scheduled for this year. The first expansion took place in Calgary, AB in May and the third is scheduled for Toronto, ON in the Fall of 2017.
