VANCOUVER, Feb. 8, 2017 /CNW/ - Sierra Oncology, Inc. (NASDAQ: SRRA), a clinical stage drug development company focused on advancing next generation DNA Damage Response therapeutics for the treatment of patients with cancer, today announced that it intends to offer and sell, subject to market conditions, shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. All of the shares to be sold in the offering will be offered by Sierra Oncology. The offering is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering. In addition, Sierra Oncology intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the shares of its common stock offered in the public offering.
Jefferies LLC is acting as the sole book-running manager for the offering.
Sierra Oncology intends to use the net proceeds from the public offering to fund development of its product candidates, SRA737 and SRA141, as well as for general corporate purposes.
