TORONTO, Jan. 30, 2014 /CNW/ - Seven days of advance polls begin
Saturday, February 1 and will run until February 7, 2014 at locations
across the Electoral Districts of Niagara Falls and Thornhill. The
dates, times and locations of advance polls are listed online at www.wemakevotingeasy.ca through an interactive "Where Do I Vote" tool as well as in the local
newspapers. For the most up-to-date listing in your area, please visit www.wemakevotingeasy.ca or call 1-888-ONT-VOTE (TTY: 1-888-292-2312).
Notice of Registration Cards were mailed out earlier this week. Voters
are reminded to take their Card and identification with them when they
go to vote. A full list of acceptable identification is listed on the Elections Ontario website.
Qualified voters who did not receive a Notice of Registration Card can
still vote. Elections Ontario customer service representatives are
standing by to help voters find out where to vote and what they need to
vote. Customer service representatives can be reached at
1-888-ONT-VOTE or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Voters can find a complete list of nominated candidates in their
electoral district at wemakevotingeasy.ca through our "Find Your Candidate" quick link.
"Voting at an advance poll is a great option for people who are going to
be out of town on election day," said Ontario's Chief Electoral Officer
Greg Essensa. "I urge all people who are planning to vote to learn
about their options on our website at www.wemakevotingeasy.ca."
