TORONTO, Dec. 2 /CNW/ - Canadians will be invited Thursday, December 3, to send their best wishes to Canadian troops by way of art or words as a huge 8'X4' banner, featuring drawings from local military family kids, is unveiled in Toronto and other cities across the country. It's part of Operation Wish, a program sponsored by Sears Canada in co-ordination with the Canadian Forces Personnel and Family Support Services (CFPFSS) and the Toronto Military Family Resource Centre. A special ceremony will be held at the Sears Toronto Eaton Centre store at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 3. Among those in attendance will be some of the local child 'artists' and Lieutenant Colonel (LCol) Dwayne Hobbs, Chair of the Board of Directors, Toronto Military Family Resource Centre (TMFRC) and a former deployed soldier. The local kids have started the banner off with about 25 drawings and Canadians are now being asked to add their own artwork or their messages to the banner, which will be on display at the Sears Eaton Centre store through the weekend (December 6) before heading to Afghanistan.
