Flow, Canada's first social water company, to debut a sustainable local water product across the country and in select US markets.
TORONTO, March 26, 2015 /CNW/ - Founded by Canadian entrepreneur Nicholas Reichenbach, Flow offers consumers an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic bottled water with the added healthful benefits of drinking naturally alkaline spring water from a local and sustainable source.
Flow's water is nurtured for thousands of years in a deep, artesian aquifer in Southwestern Ontario, where it naturally collects essential minerals, electrolytes and an alkaline pH. No industrial process or additives necessary, just pure, holistic H2O straight from the earth. Flow's package has the lowest carbon footprint in the industry and it's PET and BPA free.
"We imagined a bottled water brand that was naturally healthful. Not filtered or altered tap water owned by a major corporation. We looked for an alternative to the plastic bottle, a package with the lowest possible carbon footprint. We stopped looking and we started creating," said founder and CEO, Nicholas Reichenbach.
More than two thirds of Flow's package is made of paperboard that comes from trees harvested in responsibly managed forests and/or controlled sources. None of the resources used in our cartons come from old growth trees or rainforests. It uses just enough material to keep the package stable. Our packets are 3-5% package and 95-7% content - thinner than an eggshell.
"Products packaged in cartons are transportation efficient. Fewer trucks = less fuel = less green house gas emissions," said Mr. Reichenbach. "If you want to minimize your carbon footprint even more, we can deliver Flow to your door every week with one of our electric powered SUV vehicles in the City of Toronto. At the same time, we will pick up your empty water packs and recycle them for you."
Flow is launching at the Green Living Show in Toronto this weekend and will be available April 10th, 2015 at major retailers. In addition, starting in Toronto, Flow will launch Flow Direct – a subscription service offering free delivery to home or business with our eco-friendly electric SUV.
Flow is a modern, socially responsible water brand inspired by real people finding their flow. Flow's naturally alkaline spring water is of the highest quality in the world because of the unique geological conditions of its source. These unique conditions produce a water with a delicious, silky taste and naturally occurring healthful benefits including electrolytes, functional minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc and a naturally alkaline pH. Our 500ml package is both PET & BPA free and made from over 70% renewable materials, the highest in the industry.
