The Rotary Club of Toronto is celebrating 100 years of service to the community.  During our Centennial year, we are donating in excess of $1,000,000 to local and international agencies!

Guest Speaker: Ms. Anne Sado, President of George Brown College
"Ontario's Colleges: Getting People Working"

A native of Toronto, Anne Sado has been President of George Brown College since 2004. Beyond her leadership of George Brown College, Anne has been recognized as one of YWCA's 2012 Women of Distinction in Education and twice by The  Women's Executive Network as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women of 2010 and 2012. She has improved the lives of many Canadian women throughout her professional career and volunteer work, advocating the importance of removing barriers surrounding work and education for women, immigrants and the marginalized. Anne has volunteered and served on the boards of many community organizations in Toronto.

Program Highlight:
The  Centennial  Award of  $100,000 will be presented to Working Women Community Centre:  "The Women's Meeting Place"

The Centennial Award of The Rotary Club of Toronto has provided working women with an important space for an underserved group in the city- immigrant women. The Women's Meeting Place will provide immigrant women and their families access to a safe and welcoming place to come together, build skills, and support each other as they settle into the Toronto community. The Women's Meeting Place has been designed to be a  beautifully renovated and fully functional community space in a busy downtown neighbourhood.
