VANCOUVER, Oct. 8 /CNW/ - Remington Resources Inc. (TSX-V: RGM) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the results of a trench sampling program completed on the Blunt Mountain property, located approximately 27 kilometres east of Hazelton, BC. The property was explored by a Noranda/Atna Joint Venture in the mid 1980's for high-grade polymetallic Au, Ag, Pb, Zn veins. There are nine known showings that lie along a north-northeast trend, from south to north, these are: Clay Creek Vein, B-Showing, Old Post Vein, PS Vein, New Mound Vein, Old Mound Vein, Ferri Creek Vein, Ridge Vein and Lost Vein.
In August 2009, crews mobilized to the property to clean out, map and re-sample some of the historic trenches. The showings that were re-examined include Ridge Vein, Upper and Lower Mound Veins, Old Post Vein and Ferri Creek Vein. The sampling returned some highly anomalous results from the showings that are summarized in the table below:

The channel samples are across the full width of the exposed vein and wallrock was uncovered in the trenches. The samples were analyzed by Eco Tech labs at their facility in Kamloops with aqua regia digestion for 28 elements by ICP with an AES finish. Gold analysis was Fire Assay of a 30 gram pulp with AA finish, silver assay by aqua regia digest with an AA finish.
On the basis of these results a diamond drill has been mobilized to the property and a drill program is underway. The Company intends to complete 8-10 drill holes totaling 450-500 meters to evaluate the Mound and Ferri Creek Vein systems. Results of the drilling are expected by the end of October.
