Redline Wins Multi-Million Dollar Contract in Romania

-- Company's Fixed WiMAX system selected as part of a US$50 million network across Romania --

TORONTO, March 26 /CNW/ - Redline Communications Group Inc. ("Redline") (TSX: RDL), a leading provider of WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure (BWI) products, today announced that it has signed a multi-million dollar contract to supply Fixed WiMAX radios for a roll-out in Romania. RADIOCOM S.A. (Societatea Nationala Radiocomunicatii), a leading provider of communication services in Romania has announced the deployment of a full-service WiMAX network across Romania. Redline will supply the WiMAX radio portion of this project through their local partner, Omnilogic.

"A vast proportion of the geography in Romania lacks a reliable and affordable option for broadband connectivity," said Mr. Gabriel Grecu, Executive Director of RADIOCOM. After analyzing Redline's WiMAX offering, and talking to other Redline clients who have deployed similar large networks, we are confident we have a reliable solution that will benefit these deserving communities."

Redline will provide its 3.6-3.8 GHz RedMAX UX base stations and SUO/SUI customer premise equipment to RADIOCOM to deploy a high-capacity Fixed WiMAX network that will bring broadband services to government offices, schools and businesses in Romania. The new service will focus on locations that do not currently have reliable Broadband connectivity, and the project goals reflect the Romanian government's strong support of universal Broadband communications nationwide.

Mr. Grecu continued: "We believe the flexibility of Redline's Fixed WiMAX equipment will enable us to offer a world-class service. The RedMAX UX Base Station offers high scalability and the capacity required to best serve urban and the long-range requirements for rural areas. This, combined with a small footprint and low CAPEX, made the RedMAX UX system the right match."
