    - Société des alcools du Québec, for eliminating single-use bags.

The Producing and Consuming in a New Way Symposium provided the five winners with an opportunity to showcase their environmentally-friendly container, packaging or printed matter. They presented the process that led them to defining their best practices and achieving the recognition of their peers. "ÉEQ believes in the importance of sharing information on best practices to make companies more accountable for the consequences of their choice of container, packaging and printed matter," commented Maryse Vermette, President and General Manager of Éco Entreprises Québec. "Over the coming years, ÉEQ expects to adjust its contribution schedule to include more environmental criteria that will both encourage green packaging and penalize packaging that is difficult to recycle," concluded Ms. Vermette.
