Ramp Communications Inc. recognized as 'Best For Workers' by non-profit B Lab

TORONTO, Sept. 13, 2017 /CNW/ - Ramp Communications Inc. (Ramp) is recognized as one of the top B Corporations in the world based on its positive impact on employees. The Toronto-based marketing agency specializes in the social profit and healthcare sectors and is among the top 10 per cent of more than 2,100 Certified B Corporations in the Workers category of the B Impact Assessment. The assessment measures a company's impact on its workers, community, customers and the environment through a comprehensive and independent review administered by the non-profit B Lab.

The Workers section of the B Impact Assessment measures a company's relationship with its workforce. It assesses how the company treats its staff through compensation, benefits, training and ownership opportunities. The category also focuses on the overall work environment by assessing management/worker communication, job flexibility, corporate culture, and worker health and safety practices. Honorees scoring in the top 10 per cent set a gold standard for the high impact that using business as a force for good can make on employees. Ramp earned its place on the list thanks to its exceptional practices regarding community service, work-life balance and professional development.

The 148 Best for Workers companies come from 61 different industries and 21 countries. B Lab simultaneously released separate lists recognizing B Corporations as Best for the World (overall impact), Best for the Environment, Best for Customers, Best for the Long Term, Best for Community and Best for the World: Changemakers, which have been published at http://www.bthechange.com.
