The latest developments at the Montréal Exchange

MONTREAL, Dec. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the Desjardins business luncheon of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at noon. Alain Miquelon, President and CEO of the Montréal Exchange, will be our guest speaker.

The financial crisis over the last year has resulted in a climate of wariness with regard to certain financial products. The Montréal Exchange instead views this situation as an opportunity to put forward new high-performance derivatives products that will breathe new life into this institution. Mr. Miquelon will present the Exchange's position, which is one of strength and which represents a considerable asset for Montréal, one year after its merger with its counterpart in Toronto.

The speech will be delivered in French only.
