MONTREAL, June 6th, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The 48-HOUR RIDE Make-A-Wish® / Fais-Un-VoeuMD Québec event will celebrate its 10th anniversary on September 16-17-18th on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. For the occasion, the organizers aimed high; the Mayor of Montreal, Mr. Denis Coderre, has accepted the invitation to the 48-HOUR RIDE as Honorary President. In addition, 10 Quebec celebrities will also join the cause in this large-scale gathering to grant wishes for ill children.

Since 2007, this cycling event helped raise over $7,500,000 for Make-A-Wish / Fais-Un-Voeu Québec, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The 48-HOUR RIDE Make-A-Wish / Fais-Un-Voeu Québec is one of the three major events of cycling in Quebec in addition to being the largest fundraiser for the Foundation. Focusing on team spirit, mobilization, and achievement, the event attracts corporations, families and occasional riders, who are passionate about cycling. www.48hourride.ca 

Since 2001, Make-A-Wish / Fais-Un-Vœu Québec grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Quebec chapter is independent of Make-A-Wish Canada and is a member of the Make-A-Wish International family, the most important nonprofit organization that grants wishes for children.
