TORONTO, Sept. 8, 2015 /CNW/ - After undergoing a $40 million restoration, the Grande Dame of iconic, luxury hotels in Toronto - The Omni King Edward Hotel – will unveil its new look at a grand re-launch gala on Wednesday, September 9. The invitation-only celebration will commemorate the hotel's glamorous past and storied history and showcase its multi-million dollar upgrades. The historic Omni King Edward Hotel is Toronto's first luxury hotel, welcoming guests since 1903.

The event will feature live music, speeches from special guests, private hotel tours and an official ribbon cutting ceremony. Guests will enjoy specially prepared cocktails and hand-crafted hors d'oeuvres prepared by award-winning Executive Chef, Daniel Schick.
The $40 million renovations included a dramatic refresh of all guestrooms, redesign of the front hotel lobby and significant aesthetic upgrades to ballrooms, meeting spaces, restaurant and Lobby Bar.
