/R E P E A T -- A first for Montreal: TEDxMontrealWomen to be held on December 7/

MONTREAL, Nov. 25, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Montreal's premier edition of TEDxWomen will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Cinéma Impérial. Like TEDx events around the world, TEDxMontrealWomen is a unique event aimed at sharing new ideas on a variety of topics. Under the theme "Positive Disruption," TEDxMontrealWomen will explore the roles of men and women in society, respect for differences and our collective need to embrace our strengths so that we can push the limits of social norms and empower ourselves with more choices.

Local and international speakers will take part in a day-long intellectual and emotional marathon on December 7, in English and French.

According to Grace Yang, co-producer of TEDxMontrealWomen, "TEDxMontrealWomen is an independently organized TEDx event. It is an opportunity for the Montreal public, both men and women, to hear specially curated speakers share their knowledge and passion."
