Public service announcement - Military training at Gare maritime Champlain

MONTREAL, Oct. 26 /CNW Telbec/ - More than 100 reservists will take part in an interagency exercise at the Gare maritime Champlain, on the 28 and 29 October.

This exercise will take place in the larger Gare maritime Champlain zone and in the Naval Complex, in the Pointe-à-Carcy area.

The training will be carried on with the participation of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, of the Sûreté du Québec, of the police service of the City of Québec, Quebec Fire Protection service and Quebec's Port authority. All measures were taken in order to provide a safe training environment and to minimize any inconvenience to the neighbouring population.

In order to provide relevant training for our reservists in a domestic operation context, it is not unseen that, on occasion, they get to train in a variety of urban settings, thus adding to the realism of the exercise's scenarios.
