Rescheduled US and Canadian Tour Will Kick Off in Boston on April 22nd
BOSTON, Oct. 5, 2016 /CNW/ -- The 12-city North American premiere tour of the critically acclaimed Italian comedy-drama film Briciole Sul Mare and Music Gala featuring Rock & Roll Vocal Group and Grammy Halls of Fame inductees The Platters® with special guest Italian vocalists Walter Nestola, Paola Gruppuso and Amato Scarpellino, has been postponed until spring of 2017. The much-anticipated international entertainment extravaganza will now kick off April 22, 2017, in Boston's historic Faneuil Hall.
"The forecast related to Hurricane Matthew, which is affecting the East Coast of the United States, has seriously inhibited the appearance of the artists for the start of the tour," said Frederick J. Balboni, Jr., the tour's producer from Balboni Communications Group, LLC.
The kick off of Rocambolesco-Spectaculare! An Evening Celebration of Joy, Family and Tradition! will still be in Boston, and the tour will hit all 12 cities as initially planned: Boston; Providence, Rhode Island; Hartford, Connecticut; New York City; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh; St. Louis; Chicago; Cleveland; Buffalo, New York; Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
"While it is disappointing that our trips to the U.S. and Canada will be postponed due to the unpredictable forces of Mother Nature, we are absolutely in support of Fred's recommendation to delay the start of the tour in the interest of the safety of our artists. In any case, we are confident and very excited about the buzz surrounding these events and can't wait to bring a taste of Italy to the U.S. and Canada in the spring," concluded Nino Chirco, film and music producer of Studio Chirco Edizione – Musicale in Crema, Italy.
