A Veterans' Week Commemorative Ceremony and Flag Garden

TORONTO, Nov. 2, 2015 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, November 4, a ceremony commemorating Canadian Armed Forces members who made the ultimate sacrifice will take place at Manulife's global headquarters in Toronto.

As a gesture of thanks and remembrance, 11,800 Canadian flags have been planted on the front lawn of our global headquarters to honour more than 118,000 members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have fallen in service to Canada during wartime and on peace keeping missions.

When:    Wednesday, November 4 at 10:30 a.m.
Where:     200 Bloor St. E., Toronto, Ontario - Front Lawn of Manulife Global Headquarters

Veterans; representatives of the Government of Ontario, City of Toronto, and Canadian Armed Forces                
Donald Guloien, President & CEO, Manulife; Warren Thomson, Senior Executive Vice President and
Chief Investment Officer of Manulife and Chairman of Manulife Asset Management
A choir of elementary school children from Rose Avenue Public School will sing 'O Canada'


The flag garden will remain on display until Wednesday, November 11.

Broadcast media are welcome to attend the ceremony. Donald Guloien and Warren Thomson will be available to speak with media about the ceremony.
