Photo Opportunity: Brita Helps Torontonians Go Green with Earth Month
Celebrations at Yonge-Dundas Square

April 22 event includes thousands of pitcher giveaways and a free unplugged performance by David Usher

TORONTO, April 21 /CNW/ - Brita and the FilterForGood team are celebrating Earth Month with a day-long celebration on April 22 at Yonge-Dundas Square that includes games, activities, spot prizes and giveaways of 3,000 Brita pitchers and filters, making it even easier for Torontonians to make the switch from bottled water to filtered tap water in a refillable bottle.

And to thank Torontonians for going green, Brita will cap off the event with a free live acoustic performance by Juno award-winning artist, David Usher at 7 p.m. David, who has already taken the FilterForGood pledge to reduce his bottled water waste, will perform some of his past hits, and give Torontonians a sneak preview of a few songs from his upcoming album due this September.

FilterForGood is a campaign to help educate Canadians about the impacts of bottled water waste. Since FilterForGood launched two years ago, thousands of Canadians have taken the online pledge to reduce their bottled water waste by more than an estimated 12.5 million bottles and counting. Giving up bottled water is a simple change that can make a big difference and with the right tools, it's easy! One Brita pitcher filter can effectively replace as many as 300 standard (500mL) water bottles.
