Launched in 2009, PCD's Advanced Device Division expands the company's product portfolio for its carrier partners, creates new opportunities for its global manufacturers and strengthens PCD's position as a leading supplier of advanced communications devices including netbooks, Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) and other converged devices that are embedded with wireless communications.
The X220 is now available and offers a number of unique design features, including a rotatable touch screen that accepts handwritten input, making it ideal for field use, business meetings and other applications that require a portable, yet robust device.
The device has a built-in webcam, is Wi-Fi enabled (802.11g) and can be embedded with either a 3G EVDO or 3G HSDPA wireless module for on-the-go wireless connectivity. Additionally, the X220 has optional Bluetooth(TM) Technology, a 3 cell Li-ion 2200mAH battery and includes a 3-in-1 card reader (SC/MS/MMC), two external speakers and one internal microphone.
