TORONTO, Jan. 24, 2013 /CNW/ - Ticketmaster, a Live Nation Entertainment company (NYSE: LYV), announced today that Patti-Anne Tarlton is joining the company in February as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Ticketmaster Canada. Tom Worrall, the current Chief Operating Officer will assume the role of Chairman for Ticketmaster Canada.
"We couldn't be more excited to have Patti-Anne join our Canadian leadership team at one of the most exciting times in our history," said Jared Smith, president, Ticketmaster North America. "Patti-Anne has a deep understanding of the Canadian venue and ticketing industry and her highly specialized background will ensure our newest tools will uniquely serve our Canadian clients."
Tarlton is joining Ticketmaster Canada as the company further cements its leadership position as the most innovative ticketing ecommerce platform by continuing to rollout the first key components of its new venue ticketing platform. As a result of some of these recent innovations, the company has extended long-term relationships with numerous venue, team, theatre and artist clients across Canada, recently signing the Credit Union Centre, Brandt Centre, Centennial Concert Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, Massey Hall and B.C. Place.
"I look forward to leading the team in the rollout of the incredible new products for the more than 700 Ticketmaster clients across Canada. The new tools we are releasing will empower our clients like never before and will redefine the industry standard in remarkable ways. I'm thrilled I will be a part of it," said Tarlton.
Tarlton previously led the Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) live entertainment group. During her thirteen year tenure, she booked and managed operations at Air Canada Center (ACC) and other MLSE properties, building a reputation for world-class service and operations and enabling the ACC to become an internationally recognized venue and a "must play" building for attractions. Most recently, Tarlton played a critical role in the strategic partnership between Live Nation Entertainment and MLSE.
