TORONTO, April 11, 2013 /CNW/ - The LOTTO 6/49 jackpot has climbed to record heights. The Saturday, April 13 jackpot draw will be an estimated $55 million, the largest jackpot in Canadian lottery history.

The current record jackpot is $54.3 million from October 2005 which was won with a single ticket sold in Western Canada and claimed by a group.
Players can purchase a ticket at any OLG authorized retailers across the province until 9 p.m. on Saturday night.

Ontario lottery players received $1.7 billion in prizes in the 2011/12 fiscal year.
