Norfolk County is Canada's sweet corn capital

NORFOLK COUNTY, ON, July 9, 2015 /CNW/ - Having a corn roast? You can find all the sweet corn you need in Norfolk County.

Over 4,500 acres of sweet corn grow here – more than any other region in the nation, Statistics Canada reports.

"Our farmers grow lots of fruit and vegetables," said Clark Hoskin, Norfolk County's tourism manager. "Strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, sweet corn, beans, peas … you can find it all here, so come for the food and stay awhile."

Norfolk County is located on Lake Erie between Port Dover and Long Point.
