NISSAN PROVIDES $10,000 FOR DISASTER RELIEF EFFORTS IN CANADA
MISSISSAUGA,ON, Sept. 30 /CNW/ - Nissan today announced an immediate $10,000 cash donation to the Red Cross to assist with relief efforts in Canada following Hurricane Igor. The funds will assist disaster recovery efforts in Newfoundland and Labrador.
"Hurricane Igor has devastated many parts of Newfoundland and Labrador and we want to do our part to help the recovery efforts in this region," said Allen Childs, President of Nissan Canada Inc.
The donation includes a $5,000 commitment from both Nissan Canada Inc. and Nissan North America.
Nissan has a long history of responding to humanitarian needs and disaster relief through organizations that include the Canadian and American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity International, Habitat for Humanity Canada, as well as many Food Banks.
