TORONTO, April 14, 2016 /CNW/ -- MIRA Books today announced the signing of New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Carla Neggers to a seven-figure, six-book deal.
Neggers will pen three new books in her wonderfully popular Swift River Valley series and another three for her critically acclaimed Sharpe & Donovan series. Neggers' Swift River Valley books feature charming contemporary romances that occur in a fictional small town in New England. "We're absolutely thrilled to continue our relationship with Carla Neggers," said Margaret Marbury, Vice President of General Fiction Editorial at Harlequin. "Carla is a masterful writer who is as adept at creating captivating stories of family, friendship and love as she is authoring razor-sharp tales of romantic suspense."
The deal was negotiated by MIRA Books Executive Editor Nicole Brebner and Jodi Reamer of Writers House. Harlequin acquired world and audio rights in the deal. Brebner will edit the books.
Carla Neggers is the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author of more than 60 novels of romantic suspense and contemporary romance. Her books have sold in over 30 countries, with translations in 24 languages, and have earned awards, rave reviews and the fierce loyalty of readers.
