NEW YORK, NY, March 26, 2013 /CNW/ - BullyVille Inc., http://www.BullyVille.com, the Internet's first anti-bullying social website and media platform
is excited to announce their new partnership with NFL player Bret
Lockett will be joining the list of recent BullyVille celebrity
spokespeople including: Dj ASHBA (lead guitarist for Guns N' Roses and
Sixx:A.M.), Becca Tobin (Glee) and John Dodson (UFC fighter) to help
put an end to bullying globally.
Lockett, who in the past helped the New England Patriots reach the Super
Bowl and has just signed a new 2013/2014 season contract with the New
York Jets, had this to say in a statement to the press upon revealing
this new partnership: "I am extremely excited to partner and lend my voice to such an
important website and cause. I have experienced bullying first-hand
growing up, and I couldn't be more proud to join in and lend my voice
to ending this terrible trend within our society. People wait for
someone to set an example instead of being the example set for others.
There are already tons of followers but we never have enough leaders.
All I want to convey through my words and by joining BullyVille is to
not be timid. If you witness something, speak up and report it. It is
never too early and never too late to stop a bully and potentially save
With Lockett, the bullying just doesn't stop with humans. He recently
stripped down for an anti-fur and animal abuse campaign alongside
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), and has spoken-out
at various events across North America about living a healthy, active
and successful lifestyle without the means of bullying through his
Looking Forward Foundation with rapper Snoop Dogg.
James McGibney, a former US Marine and founder/CEO of BullyVille.com,
couldn't be more impressed with Lockett's actions stating, "Individuals such as Bret who put others first and care more for the
greater good are a rare find. We are excited to have him join our
BullyVille mission and if anyone knows about coming together as a team
and winning the battle, in this case bullying, it's Bret Lockett!"
