Sudbury businesses and the public now have more convenient services
SUDBURY, ON, Oct. 28 /CNW Telbec/ - Commissionaires Ottawa opened a new Sudbury office and, today, introduced state-of-the-art digital fingerprinting technology to Northern Ontarians. The new office, located at the Rainbow Centre, will provide the Greater Sudbury Area with a host of enhanced security services to meet the needs of businesses, organizations and individuals.
The company's CEO, Paul Guindon, made a presentation at the Official Opening of the Sudbury office. "This office gives our management a home base in the north and a dedicated office to better support the over 140 commissionaires who reside and work throughout Northern Ontario. We're very pleased to be here."
In addition to Commissionaires Ottawa's traditional guard services, the Sudbury office will be offering on-site and mobile ink and digital fingerprinting services, pardon application services, police clearance certificates (CPIC), Corporate Investigations and Threat Risk Assessments.
The feature of the Official Opening event was a technical demonstration of advanced fingerprinting technology used by the company. Mr. Guindon said, "Northern businesses and residents will now have access to quicker, more convenient fingerprint and ID services with this technology. With our direct and secure electronic link to the RCMP's National Police Services Network, we can reduce service turn-around times from several weeks to a few days."
The CEO explained that the advanced fingerprinting service can be accessed through Commissionaires' mobile units or directly at the Sudbury office. Residents from other communities throughout Northern Ontario can also obtain ink and roll prints from their local police station and courier these to the Commissionaires Sudbury office to be converted to an electronic package for the RCMP's National Police Services Network. "Certainly, the service will be most welcomed by businesses with special personnel needs, organizations wanting security checks, and people who need to obtain identification documents for personal reasons - such as visas, foreign travel, work permits, immigration and citizenship, pardons, adoption and name changes"
Bert Kemp, Business Operations Manager (Northern Region), is the lead at the Sudbury office. He stated, "We want Sudbury businesses, government agencies and local organizations to know that there are better security solutions now available locally. We have the best trained, most experienced security professionals and our doors are open for business."
The office is located at 40 Elm Street, Unit 102A and it is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public can enquire about services by dropping in or phoning (705) 673-2005.
